What did Mary mean when she said that all generations shall call her blessed? Is Luke 1:48 a justification for exalting Mary to the status of Deity? Mary was not pointing to herself, but recalling that God’s promise to bless us through Abraham were being fulfilled. She, like all children of Abraham, shall be called blessed.
